The tendon is modeled as a nonlinear beam undergoing coupled in-line and axial motion, considering the effect excited by the Tension Leg Platform (TLP). The Galerkin's method and the modes superposition principle are implemented. Investigated in this paper is the intluence of the bending stiffness and nonlinear coupled effect when the length-to-diameter is different, in order to obtain a simple tendon model in actual application. |
