A review of a classification of different types of DS, the DS characteristics, and the DS separation and recovery processes was proposed. Then the criteria for the selection of suitable DS were summarized. This review intends to provide valuable references for the in-depth research and application development of FO technology. The selection of a high osmotic pressure draw solute and its recovery process was a key issue of Forward osmosis (FO) research and application. The forward osmosis study in china was still in primary stage, and the selection of draw solute and separation recycling process optimization were still need more intensive study. |
