Relationships of Social Participation, Subjective Well-being and Life Satisfaction Among the Retirees

目的:分析离退休人员的总体社会参与度与主观幸福感、生活满意度的关系。方法:采用分层抽样,调查了中科院系统离退休人员3829人,使用费城老年中心信心量表、生活满意度量表、自编社会参与度问卷分别测量主观幸福感、生活满意度和社会参与度水平。结果:离退休人员具有较高的主观幸福感和生活满意度;社会参与的频率、角色、工作状态和参与原单位活动的频率与主观幸福感和满意度存在正相关;在控制了性别、年龄、受教育水平、收入和身体状况后,社会参与正向预测幸福感和生活满意度的作用仍然显著。结论:社会参与度是维持离退休人员主观幸福感和生活满意度的重要因素。 |

Objective: To investigate the relationship of social participation and subjective well-being and life satisfaction among the retirees. Methods: A cross-sectional research was conducted on 3829 retirees of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Philadelphia Geriatric Center Morale Scale (PGC), Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS), Social Participation Questionnaire were used to assess subjective well-being, life satisfaction, and level of social participation, respectively. Results: Retirees had higher subjective well-being and life satisfaction level; the frequency of social participation role, working status and the frequency of participating the activities of his/her working unit had positive correlation with subjective well-being and life satisfaction, that is, individuals with higher social participation reported higher subjective well-being and life satisfaction; even if controlling sex, age, educational level, marital status, income and physical health, social par-ticipation still predicted positively subjective well-being and life satisfaction. Conclusion: Social participation level is one among important factors that maintain and enhance happiness of retirees. |
