无线信道具有时变性、易错性,误比特率也比有线环境大得多,无线网络中的视频传输一直面临很大的挑战。H.264/AVC作为最新的通用视频编码标准,考虑到视频数据在易错网络环境(如无线网络)下的传输,制定了一系列的错误恢复机制。评估这些错误恢复机制在无线视频传输中的作用与效率。通过分析测试结果,对于如何选择纠错工具以及各种参数来得到较好的无线视频传输效果,给出观点。 |

Video transmission in wireless networks is a great challenging task all the while due to error-prone and time-varying characteristics of wireless channels as well as bigger bit error rate it has than in cable environment. The latest universal video coding standard H.264/AVC introduces a set of error resilience tools, given the need of such a mechanism for video data transmission in specific context of an error-prone link, such as a wireless one. The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the function and efficiency of some error resilience tools for a video transmission over an error-prone wireless link. Through the analysis on the obtained results, we derive some recommendations regarding the rules of resilience tools selection and parameters setting that might significantly improve the video quality over wireless environments. |
