Relationship between Paternal Co-parenting and Adolescent Depression: A Multiple Mediation Model of Maternal Psychological Control and Adolescent Grit

目的:探讨共同养育中父亲的表现与青少年抑郁的关系以及母亲心理控制和青少年坚毅在其中的中介作用。方法:采用父母共同养育问卷青少年评定版、母亲心理控制问卷、简式坚毅量表和流调中心抑郁量表对3316名青少年进行调查。结果: ①相关分析显示,父亲共同养育中的消极表现、母亲心理控制、青少年坚毅和青少年抑郁之间两两显著相关; ②结构方程模型显示,父亲在共同养育中的消极表现对青少年抑郁的直接效应显著,同时也会分别通过母亲心理控制和青少年坚毅的中介作用,以及母亲心理控制和青少年坚毅所形成的链式中介作用产生间接效应。结论:父亲在共同养育中的表现越差,青少年抑郁水平越高,母亲心理控制与青少年坚毅在其中起多重中介作用。 |

Objective: To explore the associations between father's performance in co-parenting and adolescent depression, and the mediating roles of maternal psychological control and adolescent grit. Methods: A total of 3,316 adolescent participated in this study and completed four questionnaires, including Co-parenting Relationship Scale, Parental Psychological Control Scale, Short Grit Scale and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale, CES-D (short Chinese version). Results: ①Correlation analyses showed that negative paternal co-parenting, maternal psychological control, adolescent grit and adolescent depression were correlated with each other. ②Multiple mediation modeling indicated father's poor performance in co-parenting had significant direct effect on the adolescent depression, in the meantime, maternal psychological control and adolescent grit played a mediating role in the relationship between father's co-parenting and adolescent depression, respectively, and maternal psychological control and adolescent grit together formed a chain mediating effect in it. Conclusion: The poorer the father performs in the co-parenting, the higher level of the depression the adolescents have; maternal psychological control and adolescent grit exert the multiple mediating effects on the relationship between father's poor performance in co-parenting and adolescent depression. |
