In-door flume test was conducted to simulate piping under one-stage high hydraulic head to induce dike breach. Discussions are carried out in the aspects of seepage flow quantity and temporal scale effects. FEM analysis is performed to study the characteristics of seepage field changes in .the test, Analystical results give proper explanations on the phenomenons in the test that are difficult to be understood by ordinary knowledges. This will promote the recognizations on piping mechanisms and the characteristics of seepage field changes. |
